Due for full, official release on July 5^th 2019, ‘Rubber Duck’ (taken from the Velvet Pony 5 EP dropped by the label of the same name) is a heavily minimalist inspired house tune produced by Stockholm-based CJ Scott. After the success of the Velvet Pony 2 EP, it’s no surprise that Scott decided to follow a similar route, with loop-heavy tracks full of sound effects and interesting manipulations of sound. This track in particular brings spoken word, birdsong and almost alien sounds to the table, providing a stark contrast to the subtly jazzy chords and crunchy hi-hat pattern that maintains below the entire piece. -Dan Peeke
