Circuit Des Yeux is the primary moniker of Haley Fohr a songwriter, guitarist and producer from Chicago, IL. Quickly gaining attention for her incredibly unique baritone voice, Fohr has already released several albums on Thrill Jockey as both Circuit Des Yeux and as Jackie Lynn, a musical alter-ego of sorts. 'Paper Bag' is the lead single from Fohr's upcoming album Reaching for Indigo, which will be her first on Drag City. 'Paper Bag' kicks off with fluttering electronics and some low key yodelling, which takes us a whole 2 minutes 12 seconds into the track before transforming into a psychedelic wash of acoustic guitars and hypnotising drums, which compliment Fohr's powerful and distinctive vocal performance. The accompanying lyric video is almost as intriguing as the music itself and I think it's safe to say it's been a while since we've heard something as interesting as this. -HLMX
