Rodes Rollins brings all our spaghetti western pop dreams to life on her second single ‘Wes Come Back’. Opening with a cinematic whistle echoing across the sparse soundscape, artfully detailed by a twang of guitar to introduce Rodes Rollins’ poignant, nostalgic vocal that proceeds to smoothly unfold her story of first, and later lost, love. The Colorado-raised songwriter has been open about the song’s lyric content, which recalls her first romantic relationship. As Rodes Rollins further explains, “It was one of those songs that rolled off the tongue for me. There's a lot of raw and real material... when I write about him, I feel like I'm genuinely telling a story. And I have a lot to say."
