LIST PICK

MEALTIME SUBLIME

Having picked up praise for their considerably more subdued August offering 'Teef', Manchester six-piece Mealtime, have returned with their saturated alt-pop banger 'Sublime'. Doused in noughties nostalgia, 'Sublime' merges ravey vocals with nasty acid house and borderline-cheesy UK garage - think Benny Benassi's unforgettable 2002 hit 'Satisfaction'. With a similar dead-pan delivery the track's hypnotic hook will hack away at your subconscious, transporting you to a smoke-filled dance floor complete with tacky green lasers. Supported by an equally retrospective video, the clip sees the sextet liberated from their tedious day-jobs for a wild night out in a gaudily-lit limousine before playing up to the cameras in a series of seductive Babe Station-inspired scenes.
