‘Heart Still Beats 4 U’ is the new release from English, Berlin-based artist Martha Rose. It’s subtle and introspective, but the track is still undoubtedly inspired by disco in its luscious 80s sound. On the track’s lyrics, she says: “The heart can be a strong advocate for something that makes no sense, but I loved trying to battle it into submission with this song.” The end result is a dreamy soundscape that allows her tender lyricism to sit above an accompaniment that embodies the idea of “secretly crying on a glittering 80s dancefloor”.
