We can’t get enough of new single ‘Just Me’ from New York duo Lion Babe (a collaboration between singer Jillian Hervey and producer Lucas Goodman). In the opening line Hervey exclaims ‘I can’t wait for it’ and ‘this moment never been so important’ as she tries to navigate her way to a better situation in which she puts herself first. Premiering on hit HBO show Insecure this track’s production is immaculate, in addition to Goodman’s delivery of a passionate, hypnotising guitar riff that anchors the track while Hervey’s powerful vocals shine in the forefront. The sentiment of this song is compounded in its outro as Hervey repeats ‘give me some time alone’. Needless to say, we can’t wait to hear more from this exciting duo. – Christian St. Croix
