GET INUIT BARBITURATES

Get Inuit have shared their new single 'Barbiturates'. The rising Kent four continue on the noisy path that has been winning them fans in the swelling indie punk scene, as bending guitars join thrashing cymbals and a brilliantly erratic vocal performance that touches on Weezer and Born Ruffians. Talking of the track, front-man Jamie Glass explains he "wanted to write a song that could contain a theatrical contrast of ferocious guitars and silence. Skin-crawling screams and pitiful whispers. Manic episodes and tranquillity." He has succeeded in droves in by far the band's most assured and mature rock n' roll cut to date, and one that comes ahead of a headline show at London's Lexington on 25 January and more shows with touring pals and genre flagbearers Spring King. -G.O'B
