Transgressive-signed fourtet Spring King were the most thrilling band we caught all weekend at this year’s Great Escape festival, and boy do these guys capture that same vital, frenetic spirit on new track ‘Can I?’ We’re suckers for singing drummers, and producer/vocalist/polymath Tarek Musa nails it once again, his oddly intoxicating barking ‘in the morning, in the morning/I’m going home’ cutting through a wash of cymbals and barbed guitars. So ace.
