VINYL STAIRCASE LAST I HEARD

Dorking boys Vinyl Staircase's penchant for well-written psychedelia-tinged indie rock has seen them climbing up line-ups across the country and making friends in all the rights places over the last year or so. With the likes of Wolf Alice considering themselves fans, and brit-pop bangers like 'Cherry' already under their belts, the quartet's latest offering 'Last I Heard' is a breezy summer anthem that's sure to win you over. Taken from their recently-released debut EP, the brand new video for 'Last I Heard' is a sun-soaked ode to The Beatles' iconic 1966 'Paperback Writer' video. The band explained, "Shot in the midst of a rare English heatwave and an even rarer world cup success, we bring you the video for our latest single ‘Last I Heard’. Set in an abandoned poly-tunnel greenhouse and a very hot day, it’s a summer make over for the last track on our EP. We aimed to channel the vibe of the video for Paperback Writer, which was released in the fateful year of 1966. A coincidence? We think not. It’s coming home." -Holly Mullineaux
