Dorking outfit Vinyl Staircase exploded onto our radar last year with their massive debut single 'German Wings'. The track sparked numerous gig offers all over the UK including a coveted support slot with indie-rock royalty Wolf Alice. 'Cherry' is the accomplished follow-up from the 4-piece, which sees the band showing off their songwriting skills, with boisterous verses and euphoric choruses. Sitting somewhere between the Stones' 60s swagger and good old fashioned Britpop, 'Cherry' gets the party going before descending into a sludgier psych-tinged wigout and spits you out the other side. Vinyl Staircase's debut EP is due out next month, and it's safe to say we're excited to hear more. -HLMX
