As Brenna Miles divulges, “‘Rude' brings a lot to the table that I don't think people have seen in previous B.Miles work. I've never felt that B.Miles was tied down to one specific genre, and [the song] definitely emphasizes that; it takes us somewhere we've never been before." Penned at the start of a relationship with her roommate, ‘Rude’ is full of tension, passion and dark-pop approach to cinematic strings, gospeletic keys and a simmering blues rhythm. The rich instrumentation creates a palpable noir scenery, the star of this unfolding drama being Miles’ emotional vocal, translating all the highs and lows “to document every fear I had of us taking the plunge."
