‘In Bloom’ is the new single from Yoshika Colwell. It’s a hopeful cut that finds a warmth and optimism while grappling with the idea of existential dread. “It’s about acknowledging that everything ends, but trying to find the beauty and freedom in that,” she explains. “It’s a song about inevitable death and trying to enjoy your life & the people you love whilst it’s all happening, disguised in a bouncy, upbeat kind of country song.” Shimmering acoustic guitars and shuffling snare drums provide the musical core of the track, while the wail of slide guitar and her own textured voice provide a melodic centrepiece.
