YASSASSIN PRETTY FACE

It with pleasure we announce that the London (via Stockholm/ Tuscany/ Cambridge/ Malmö/ Brisbane) band Yassassin return with a caustically non-conformist anthem: ‘Pretty Face’. Like its colourfully chaotic predecessor ‘Social Politics’, ‘Pretty Face’ uses raucous, grungey instrumentation and in-your-face down-to-earth lyrics to express this band’s defiant agenda – in this case burning down the enduring edifice of sexual harassment and body shaming. Put simply, Yassassin state that “What we’re basically trying to say is that if you don't have anything nice to say or do, then just don’t bother because you’re not helping to make the world any better. I may look one way or another, but that's not the whole of me, no one has the right to be so quick to judge.” The music speaks for itself so do yourself a favour and catch this ferocious quintet at their upcoming headline show at Camden’s Lock Tavern on 1st December. -KJ
