‘Experiments’ is the self-aware new single and video from American artist Wilby. It’s a folk-inspired track that takes a look at the guilt of bringing someone along during a healing process. Her tender voice and gentle acoustic strum sit at the core of the track, with subtle slide guitars drifting between each vocal phrase to add a countrified flair to proceedings. She says the track “came out of a conversation with my partner. When we debunk old patterns and start to rebuild with new ones, there is an uncomfortable period of trial and error. I was incredibly conscious that other people were going to be affected while I tried these new behaviors on. The song was written with my newfound bravery, acknowledging the utter vulnerability it takes to have someone see you through the healing journey.” Keep an eye out for more from Wilby over the course of 2025. -Dan Peeke
