Lifted from their brand new debut EP, Yeah, Hi?, the new track from Cardiff band Why Horses? is the fantastic ‘Conversation’. The band have toned down the craziness from their previous single, and have turned toward a skittish, lo-fi indie rock sound. It’s a track that combines moments of musical and vocal intensity with spaced-out, jangly instrumentals. “This song explores how sometimes conversation, particularly small talk, can achieve nothing, and be unfruitful, inspired by my struggle with stammering,” explains singer Gabriel Lester. “Because of my stammer I often end up saying words or phrases that weren’t my first choice, because I was unable to say the original word or phrase I had intended to say.
