Vancouver-based dreamer and songwriter White Poppy (real name Crystal Dorval) has unveiled her kaleidoscopic new video for 'Hypnotized'. Lifted from her recently released album The Pink Haze Of Love, 'Hypnotized' is a delicate blend of reverb-laden guitars, twinkling synthesizers and eighties drum machines, which softly sway beneath Dorval's dusky heart-felt vocals. Lyrically darker than its relatively upbeat exterior, 'Hypnotized' is about the torment of a deep infatuation, a theme that continues throughout the album, which Dorval describes as “a concept piece relating to matters of the heart”. Filmed and edited by Dorval herself, the video is inspired by bad DIY videos. -HLMX
