Glasgow quintet Water Machine have unveiled their new track, ‘Tiffany’. Their broadly art-punk sound is a blend of various influences, with melodic bass-forward accompaniments merging with a wash of shiny synth and the unpredictable guitar, which doesn’t know whether to stick to jazz harmony, dream-pop strumming or punk riffs. “We wrote this in one sitting after I had a panic attack in the studio and we decided to write something happy,” explains vocalist Hando. “As usual it ended up being a hypothetical love song about a car crash.” Water Machine have announced their debut album, God Park, which is out on June 20th, 2025 via FatCat Records. -Dan Peeke
