Respected underground experimentalists Voka Gentle share their seesawing new single 'Creon I' via state51. Following their collaborative recent release with Bo Ningen. 'First Snow', 'Creon I' is an entirely idiosyncratic release from the close-knit trio. Consisting of twins Ellie and Imogen Mason alongside William J. Stokes, their distinctive brand of off-kilter electronic art-punk is almost impossible to describe. Ringing truer than ever on 'Creon I', pounding, industrial beats and glitchy synths interact beneath an intricate tapestry of vocal melodies and oddball lyricism. Retaining a sense of accessibility in spite of all the weirdness of show is a skill in itself and one that Voka Gentle are particularly accomplished at.
