French producer Un*Deux has been building up a high profile career in the Parisian house scene through shows alongside big names like Detroit Swindle and Nastia. Following on from his most successful release to date (the music video to the track ‘On Drugs’), ‘Badalucco’ is a big track which reflects his wide influences that range from the depths of electronic music, to the purest jazz and soul tunes. Crunchy percussion enters in the opening beats, while an intelligent manipulation of filters contributes the first melody we hear. The minimalist-inspired looping of the piece allows for a slow, yet tasteful build as a string melody fades in above the persistent pattern at various intervals throughout.
