Formed back in 2015 in the bedroom of his restrictive Brooklyn flat share, Tree House is the minimalist pop project of London-based artist Will Fortna. Wearing its influences proudly on its sleeve,'Head Up High' toes the line between Talking Heads and Arthur Russell, bringing a drippy, electronic texture to the similarly angular guitar work of 'Born Under Punches (The Heat Goes On)', whilst jazzy sax solos and smoothly delivered vocals nod to Russell's Calling Out Of Context masterpiece. To mark their first release since 2017's Into The Ocean EP, Tree House will embark on a nationwide co-headline tour with Viewfinder, with whom they share the majority of their on-stage members. -Holly Mullineaux
