Mexico City-based duo Titanic is comprised of two mega talents - composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Héctor Tosta (aka I. la Católica) and composer/cellist/singer Mabe Fratti. Their boundary-pushing new single 'Gotera' signals news of their highly-anticipated sophomore album Hagen, which is set for release on the 6th of September via Unheard of Hope. 'Gotera' is a fascinating introduction, offering up machine gun-style beats and Björk-flavoured vocal melodies and effects. Twisted guitar work recalls some of Deerhoof's more madness-inducing moments and orchestral sounds soak up the nastiness of it all, but what must be made clear is that 'Gotera' (and the rest of Titanic's output) is entirely refreshing and unique. The pair have also announced a run of dates in Europe, starting with End of the Road Festival and finishing with their own headline show at the ICA in central London. -Holly Mullineaux
