TITANIC ESCARBO DIMENSIONES

Edging closer to the release of their sophomore album Hagen, Mexico City-formed super-duo Titanic reveal 'Escarbo dimensiones'. A song of two disparate yet equally intoxicating sections, band member Héctor Tosta (aka I. la Católica) explains: “So for us ‘Escarbo dimensiones’ is a very weird song. It all started with the chorus: Si quieres te devuelves y regresas cuando ya lo sepas todo (if you want you can return when you already know everything)...We finished the lyrics together after having that sentence. It was pretty quick–Mabe (Fratti) wrote two verses in 20 minutes and then I finished the rest. For the final part I remember that I was pretty unsure about that funky guitar but everyone in the studio was excited about it. I am still unsure about that part really..." Aided by legendary long-term supporter Nate Salon (Oneohtrix Point Never, Jónsi, MGMT), Tosta continues: "Thanks to Nate, we really nailed the sound that we were looking for. The chorus for the bass, and the drum sound was amazing and so well played by Eli (Keszler of Oneohtrix Point Never and Skrillex).” We're standing on team funky guitar but you can make up your own mind and listen to 'Escarbo dimensiones' here now. Titanic will perform at End of the Road Festival in just over a week's time before a mixture of headline shows and support slots with caroline and Black Country, New Road. -Holly Mullineaux
