TIERNAN ANGELS

Succeeding his intimate and arresting debut solo single 'Nuala', founding deathcrash member Tiernan shares an epic Robbie Williams cover in 'Angels'. Just kidding, 'Angels' is in fact the fragile second taste of his forthcoming album The Ribbon Songs and it's one of the most accomplished pieces we've heard in a long time. Featuring revered friend and collaborator Jerskin Fendrix (of Poor Things Soundtrack fame), 'Angels' "pushes the limits of how quiet a song can be" before reaching a rousing full-band climax. Strikingly earnest and lacking in pretence, the lyrics are raw, personal and lasting - perhaps most notably the parting confession: “you are the feeling I won’t leave alone”. The Ribbon Songs will arrive on the 14th of April, followed by a live performance at Bow Church on the 8th of May. Both are sure to take your breath away. -Holly Mullineaux
