A holy trinity consisting of Max Winter, Will Lister and Imogen and the Knife, thredd are an ultra-cool supergroup coming out of South London. 'Party' is their first track to hit streaming platforms, following a YouTube release of their debut single 'Vimeo', which sent tongues wagging last month. A masterful fusion of the trio's 3 distinct styles, 'Party' is entirely unique, nodding to elements of grunge, hyper-pop and jazz (yes, jazz) with confidence and gusto. Imogen's sultry spoken vocals deliver subtly grotesque lyrics, which peel away to reveal an addictive synth top line. Structurally fixating, 'Party' takes a number of unpredictable twists and turns before hammering home that ingenious aforementioned synth hook, carrying the composition to a head-banging close.
