‘Pullin’ Teeth’ is the latest release from Irish four-piece The Scratch. The band started out with a riff from an old song, and ended up with this entirely new, relentlessly energetic new track. “To be able to write a song that quickly and for it to feel that good kick-started everything,” says guitarist Conor. “We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel on this album—it’s about taking the pressure off, reinterpreting ideas, and not overthinking things. It was very freeing for us.”  It’s a cutting, memorable song that is brought to life further by the Iceland-set video that accompanies it. The Scratch are going to release their album, Pull Like A Dog, on March 13th, 2026, via Music For Nations and Sony Music Ireland. -Dan Peeke
