THE ORCHESTRA (FOR NOW) DEPLORE YOU / FARMERS MARKET
In the run up to the release of their new EP Plan 76, incredibly clever whippersnappers The Orchestra (For Now) unveil their fresh epic 'Deplore You / Farmers Market'. Drawn over 6 and a half minutes (in the video version at least), the self-aware two-parter is an exercise in tension and release. Showing their full range of dynamics, from barely there to an all out assault on the eardrums, the band explain: “It’s a front facing reckoning that explores ambition and fatigue, and the strains of failure and minor success. Deplore You / Farmers Market is one of our most direct songs, so we thought stripping back and exposing ourselves was the right call, letting the song breathe; it’s an experiment in restraint, right up until we can’t keep it in.” Undoubtedly one of the highlights at End of The Road Festival earlier this year, the future's looking bright for The Orchestra (For Now) long past the present moment. -Holly Mullineaux
