Opening like an unhealthy engine trying to summon the strength to start, it's not long before Montreal-based psych-punk band TEKE::TEKE's wild rendition of Japanese instrumental guitar hero Takeshi Terauchi’s 'Chidori' fires up. Proceeding at full throttle for the rest of its duration, fresh Kill Rock Stars signings' eclectic combination of spooky synths, spaghetti Western-inspired brass parts and hair-brained guitar riffs makes for a thrilling listen. Of their recent signing the band shared: “We are deeply honored to be joining the great Kill Rock Stars family, a label we’ve long admired which shares our community-oriented values and artistic vision.
