‘Better’ is the new track from Dublin-based band Sprints. It’s a sharp, visceral cut that takes influence from My Bloody Valentine and laces it with a nod toward Amyl and the Sniffers. The end result is an interesting take on post-punk filled with lyrics that are cleverly written and brutally honest. They explain that the track “sounds like a love song but definitely isn’t. It explores the idea not of liking someone better, but only liking them when they’re better. It’s tough, sad, but honest and frank.” Sprints are dropping their new album, All That Is Over, on September 26th, 2025. -Dan Peeke
