There is something hypnotic about the output of spill tab’s music, and her latest track, ‘Santé’, is no different. The French-Korean artist has a diverse palette of influences, centred around a dark take on modern electronic pop. Of course, the essence of Billie Eilish (if she sang in French) can be found in spill tab’s vocal delivery, but through slippery bass synths and a winding electronic soundscape, she takes the well-loved dark take on modern art pop to a new level. David Marinelli fleshed out the track from a bass line demo composed by spill tab, with her vocals adding the final touches to the “smoky club vibe” the pair were trying to create. -Dan Peeke
