Swedish artist and multi-instrumentalist Sofia Härdig has dropped her new single, ‘Pale Fire’. It’s a dark, brooding track that leans into a restrained type of intensity, with a certain Nick Cave-esque vibe to its distinctive, piano-driven, lyric-forward sound. The track features Tom Waits collaborator Bebe Risenfors, whose contribution to the track brought Härdig to tears when she first heard it. “I wrote on my own in solitude for almost two years. I read a lot, wrote a lot, and recorded more than a hundred songs," Härdig recalls. "I was in this cave of writing.” Her upcoming album, Lighthouse of Glass, is hailed for release on April 11th, 2025, via Bark At Your Owner. -Dan Peeke
