Consisting of members of fellow TMR tips Boil King, London-based band Sodden Pelt create what they refer to as “Bog trawl-folk and fever drone lullabies.” Released via Hideous Mink Records, 'Honey For A Doctor' is the idiosyncratic first taste of their forthcoming EP. Something of a cowboy tune with a distinctly British twang, the ramshackled offering makes quite the impression. Squeezing dirty guitars, percussive beats, frantic strings and unhinged vocals into a truly cinematic 2 minutes, the band say of the single: "A downward glance, sod’s law moment of noticing that you’re still attached to a slapped and fleeing horse. ‘Honey for A Doctor’ is a period of realisation that before you, lies an ever-growing Hieronymous sketch of rats and scoundrels. It is a decision to throw in the towel and burn your own house down before they come knocking. This, to many, would be the ultimate act of protest."
