‘Push Tuck’ is the swaggering new single from South London band SLEAZE. It’s a straightforward piece of gritty post-punk that brings together angular guitars, the thump of an insistent four-on-the-floor kick drum and the low rumble of the bass. On top, sits David Ashby’s voice, which finds its place somewhere between semi-spoken poetry, and a Stooges-esque punk edge. The band, who are rising through the same hedonistic underground as Fat Dog and Fat White Family, say: “We arrived here without a plan. We never gave up and we never changed. We knew that eventually someone was going to buy into it, to subscribe to our reality.” -Dan Peeke
