Secretly Canadian-signed, LA-based artist Skullcrusher (aka Helen Ballentine) makes music that provides a stark contrast to her graphic moniker. New single 'Song For Nick Drake' ripples with heart-warming synth lines set over washy acoustic guitar, which cradles Ballentine's intimate vocals. Sonically expressing the nostalgic connections that we form with our favourite artists Ballentine explained: “Song for Nick Drake” is about my relationship to the music of Nick Drake. It recalls moments in my life that are viscerally intertwined with his music, specifically times spent walking & taking the train.
