Already signed to Island Records, Silver Gore have been on the lips of those in the know for a little while. With a stacked summer of festival appearances ahead of them (including Green Man and End of the Road), the talented twosome, Ava Gore & Ethan P. Flynn to be precise, have unveiled their first official single 'Dogs In Heaven'. Sonically upbeat and eclectic, the pair pack plenty of goodness into its relatively tiny 2 minute duration, Vocally ambitious and full of charm, layers of guitars create a kaleidoscopic effect as melodic bass locks in with a driving beat that feels like a modern nod to Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' as the track plays out. Topped off with surreal howls that are difficult to pin down to one specific instrument (theremin perhaps?), 'Dogs In Heaven' is a quirky yet catchy mission statement from a project with loads up their collective sleeve.
