‘FILL MY HEAD’ is the enigmatic new single from severe girls. The project, a solo endeavour from songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Richardson, finds a place between hazy college rock, lackadaisical modern indie and ultra-catchy power pop. Helped along by the washed-out palette of the video that accompanies it, this track transports you to an end-of-century Pavement-esque sound that slowly builds in intensity. He describes the track as “a bit about questioning religion, or a belief in something ‘greater’, and a bit about egos and about intrusive thoughts. They could all be the same thing, right? Whatever it might be, it has a grip on you, emotionally. A kind of omnipresence that slips into your thoughts and lives there, rent-free.” The debut EP, Another Night, drops on October 17th, 2025. -Dan Peeke
