SARAH METH BROMANCE IS DEAD
London artist, producer and songwriter Sarah Meth bids a dream-pop powered farewell to the American dream on her new single 'Bromance is Dead'. Over a gauzy backdrop of shimmery synths and a slow percussive pulse, there's a hazy, languor underpinning Meth's free-floating vocals has said as she sings with a sense of finality: 'Think you should take a plane home/ Back to America/ I believed in you/ But our romance is dead.' Delving further into the sense of closure expressed on the track, Meth describes it as: “...An ode to the end of a transatlantic situation - the moment where the (American) dream dies, and you wake up to the harsh reality that maybe a person cannot always be the friend you thought them to be." It's a bittersweet send-off, but although one dream has been put to bed, it feels as though Meth is already building towards the next one. -Kayla Sandiford
