Real life angel Rosie Alena announces her new EP with its touching title track 'Everyman'. Grappling with difficult yet relatable subject matter, “the initial inspiration for ‘Everyman’ came from attempting to understand the surreal and unsettling ability we have to see lost or distant loved ones in the morphing faces of strangers, which had jolted me in and out of grief. It documents little pockets of time and snapshots of life whilst questioning whether the people who are no longer alive, the ‘absent friends’, are still watching." Sonically timeless, Alena's impeccable vocals do a lot of the heavy lifting, as she paints pictures with her vulnerable yet empowered lyrics. Whilst the track itself is about doing a double take, the final result will have a similar effect, demanding repeat listens as its familiarity grows.
