‘Slick Rick’ is the new release from Revival Season, an American duo made up of Atlanta, GA-based producer Jonah Swilley and Columbus, GA rapper Brandon ‘Bez’ Evans. It’s one of the duo’s smoothest tracks yet, with a groove built on wobbly sub bass and a crisp, snare-forward drum pattern. Bez’s vocals, which reference one of rap’s first superstars, are delivered with pinpoint accuracy. They say the track “came together fluidly. A quick trip into the studio and we came out with this homage to a pillar in rap storytelling.” The Formless mixtape is out on May 23rd, 2025, via Heavenly Recordings. -Dan Peeke
