Radley O’Brien has followed up an acclaimed trio of singles with his latest, emotive track, ‘It’s Gonna Get You Just When You Think It’s Gone’. The seven-minute track is a vulnerable piece that exposes O’Brien’s unique voice and thoughtful lyrics over accompaniments made up of jangly solo pianos and occasional explosions into thick, crunchy, almost punky energy. “It's about the fury and sadness one experiences when you see how deeply traumatised loved ones can become by political dread and a fracture in the social fabric of a community,” he explains.
