Promise Keeper appeared somewhat out-of-the-blue at the end of April with the heady 'Side Decide', setting a marker as a new enigmatic force in the garage-inspired electro world. Now, the newcomer has followed-up that debut effort with its double-a partner. 'Porous Silk' is a more laid-back, seductive affair as the thudding beat and rounded bass line bounces along with a sultry edge. The single is out 27 May via Fnord, "the new label by Swiss entrepreneur Freeman Celine." Playing his debut London show on June 15th at Servant Jazz Quarters, this is a promise that is destined to be kept; silky indeed. -G.O'B
