This preview of Ponty Mython’s contribution to the Dirt Crew Recording’s Deep Love 2018 compilation, shows off his trippy, bouncy house style. ‘It’s All Understood’ is slotted between an unusually smooth release from Harry Wolfman and an upbeat electronic cut from German duo Ouer, showing off the eclectic mix of tracks on this compilation. The track gives centre stage to some wobbling, acidic bass synths, which (bizarrely) compliment the tuned percussion that provides a lot of the melody. The often jazzy approach taken by the Lithuanian producer introduces syncopated melodies and offbeat percussion, adding an extra layer of interest to the developing piece.
