Set to be released via Memphis Industries on the 3rd of June, 'Alive' is the immersive lead single from Madness. A substantial listen at 5-and-a-half minutes long, 'Alive' opens to rippling synth sequences that conjure a haunted, 80s-inspired feel. Bubbling effervescently beneath vocalist Channy Leaneagh's distinctive mellifluous tones, Ryan Olson's impeccable production transports you to a darkened realm, where all you can focus on is the melancholy beauty of their music. Lyrically accepting the inevitable highs and lows in life, Leaneagh says of the track: "Bad things happen, the fire goes out; even with the best flammables it stays dark until nothing matters becomes the fire itself."
