PEYTON (FEAT. SUNNI COLON) GET OUT OF YOUR HAIR

Peyton opens the rollout for her new EP Au with 'Get Out Of Your Hair' - a reflective duet with alternative soul artist Sunni Colón. Though it closes the EP, it’s the first single, setting a mesmerising and hypnotic tone. The phrase “get out of your hair” channeled in the lyrics as “get out of your head” becomes a mantra for releasing overthinking and anxiety. Produced with visionary soul architect Shafiq Husayn, the track glistens with airy synth pads and sparkling textures that feel like moonlight shimmering over water. It opens delicately before the chords flip into the first verse, pulling the listener deeper into its dreamlike atmosphere. The rhythm, laid-back and slightly off-center, adds to the song’s fluid, meditative energy. Lyrically, Peyton is just as transportive: “Lately I been reaching for the stars, trynna be what's meant for me, some days sometimes twilight, dancing in the dark” captures both longing and clarity. Together, Peyton and Sunni trade lines that flow like a conversation, creating a song that feels introspective yet hopeful, like a late-night walk under the stars. -Rachel Fryer
