London alternative singer-songwriter Oliver Beardmore has teamed up with Punchlove for the new single, ‘Ammonite’. It’s a wistful, slow burn of a track that leans into the influences Punchlove’s experimental shoegaze sound has had on its texture. By the end, it has exploded into a searing, transportive wall of sound. “The song is about being drawn to people who share the same insecurities or flaws,” he says. “We project our issues onto each other, but that weight often causes hurt that no one else is really to blame for. There’s freedom in no longer searching for your flaws in someone else, and relief in calling off that search.
