Chicago polymath NNAMDÏ gears up for an eclectic new album Please Have A Seat with new single 'Anti'. NNAMDÏ is a musician, songwriter and producer whose music traverses many different musical styles and genres yet always distinctly sounds like him, from his intricate mathy guitar work on earlier releases to experimental rap. New single 'Anti' is a soulful smooth track with a latent melancholy as he explores traumatic experiences amongst layers of harmonies: "I really like teetering on the edge of playful and unsettling and I think we did that with this video. The song/video is a journey through how generational and childhood trauma can manifest itself in different ways as an adult, especially if never confronted. Basically the things that help create your origin story. I’ve had this video idea since the song’s conception and Austin really brought my treatment to life." Please Have A Seat will be released on October the 7th on Secretly Canadian and Sooper Records (Nnamdï's own label).
