NAIMA BOCK CAMPERVAN
Edging closer to the release of her debut solo album, singer, songwriter and former Goat Girl bass player Naima Bock shares another highlight from the album - 'Campervan'. Pairing her sombre lyricism with lightly jazz-tinged instrumentation, arranged by Joel Burton, the accomplished piece utilises silence to great effect, showing a level of restraint that truly entices you to listen. Her characterful folk tones glide easily over layers of strings, guitar and woodwind, discussing the fragility of life and relationships as the song meanders through different moods and tempos. Arriving alongside a novel video written & directed by Cassidy Hansen, which heavily features Bock's own campervan, it's a joyous and personal further taste of Giant Palm (coming out via Sub Pop Records on the 1st of July). -Holly Mullineaux
