The title of MOSSS’ latest ‘IDK’ alludes to the songwriter’s uncertainty in romance, it being an abbreviation for ‘I Don’t Know’. Between the slinking guitar lines, MOSSS reaches out for answers in the gossamer production and yet like fine threads of silk, all resolution slips through his fingers. There’s something incredibly romantic and sensual in this mystery, much exaggerated by the subtle grooves and climbing falsetto that the Brookyln-via-L.A. musician serves up so artfully. ‘IDK’ is the perfect addition to the newly released Pale Blue EP, a canvas of indie, funk and R&B hues that features fellow List Picks ‘Bound To Happen’ and ‘Here If You Want’. - Hannah Thacker
