New from tastemakers Memorials of Distinction, 'Water' is the meandering new single from mildred. Formed in Oakland, California, mildred consists of former roommates and equal part singer-songwriters Henry, Matt, Jack and Will. The songs on their forthcoming debut EP are "the result of living room sessions before and after dinner", where the border between the living/practice room and kitchen was "open and porous". 'Water' itself is a comforting piece of alternative country music, propped up by open lyricism. Encompassing an overarching feeling of warmth and openness, they sing in unison 'what stands clear is that I love you and we'll always work things out'.
