Co-founder of UK acid folktronica band Tunng, and one half of electronic alt-psych duo LUMP (the other being Laura Marling), master of off-kilter alt-pop, Mike Lindsay has today announced his debut solo album supershapes volume 1. Lead by the eclectic lead single 'lie down', which features the unmistakable vocals of fellow TMR tip Anna B Savage, "The song itself is loosely based on reverse FOMO, when you’re out every night but yearning for domestic bliss, with all the menial tasks like taking out the rubbish and watching guilty pleasure telly. Drawing attention to a wider album theme of finding “the miraculous in the mundane”, there's an exciting sense of wonderment in both the music and the lyricism of 'lie down' that is simultaneously refreshing and addictive. supershapes volume 1 will arrive via Moshi Moshi on the 14th of June. -Holly Mullineaux
