The fantastic Michael B Thomas has returned with his new single, ‘Relationship Advice’. It’s an effortlessly melodic piece of lo-fi indie-folk. Using George Harrison’s album, All Things Must Pass, as a source of inspiration, Thomas centres this new release on the idea of healing, set above the tender strum of an acoustic guitar and the chime of warm piano chords. “I think I tried to poignantly capture the essence of not just myself navigating through my mid to late twenties, but also my friends and the different relationships that come and go within this time,” he explains. “It’s a time when many of us are unsure of what’s really going on, highlighting the necessity of self-healing before worrying about the future with someone else.” Keep an eye out for more from Michael B Thomas as he continues to play live and release music in 2024. -Dan Peeke
